Cecilia Celeste Danesi is a lawyer, writer, lecturer, professor and researcher in Artificial Intelligence, gender and rights. She is passionate about innovation and technology and above all its social impact.
Cecilia has studied the impact of AI on people's lives is transversal in a society, especially in gender and human rights issues. With the motivation to raise awareness about the good use of AI and equal access and opportunities for all social spheres, she wrote the book “The Empire of Algorithms”.
She is a member of an UNESCO created Women4Ethical AI, a collaborative platform to support governments and companies’ efforts. The platform will drive progress on non-discriminatory algorithms and data sources, and incentivize girls, women and under-represented groups to participate in AI.
